Who we are
A dedicated and passionate Counsellor and Social Worker with extensive experience in statutory/ non-statutory environments working with young people and adults. Recognized for a client centered approach and multidisciplinary framework and a comprehensive knowledge of disability, mental health, wellbeing, vicarious and complex trauma, mental and emotional health and wellbeing, sexuality (LGBTQIA), grief/loss, family violence, self-harm and suicide ideation. • Experienced in developing individual and group-based interventions for clients using primarily CBT techniques with a strength-based approach that is always trauma informed and underpinned in culturally sensitive practice.
I am registered with the Australian Social Workers Association as a Social worker, and I have a historic membership with the Australian Counselling Association.
I hold the following university qualifications:
Bachelor of Counselling
Master of Social Work (Qualifying)
I have practiced as a social worker, counsellor and mental health clinician full time for the past 14 years, in a range of not-for-profit organizations, government specialist intervention services for children and adolescents and their families, domestic violence and youth and other mental health services.
In September 2022, Banjo a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel joined my clinic space as an emotional assistance support for clients.
